My story isn't much different from many others. I discovered my passion for Soca and "Getting on Bad" in the heart of Trinidad & Tobago's🇹🇹 Annual Carnival in 2023. Sophia and I finally made the trip to Carnival—the "Greatest Show on Earth"—and it changed my life forever. After 'fete-ing, wining, waving, jumping,' and soaking in the electrifying vibes of Soca during Jouvert, Monday & Tuesday Mas, I returned home, but my heart never left Carnival.

Whether on my morning walks, on the treadmill, or just around town, I found myself 'chipping' whenever I could. We returned to Carnival the following year, once again immersing ourselves in the culture, the vibes, and the unmatched energy of the week. However, I left that year with a longing for more—more fetes, more Jouvert, more Mas! Thankfully, a few months later, I found myself back on the road at the annual Tampa Bay, St. Pete, and Heritage Fest & Carnivals, just in time to get "mash up" and relive the music and energy even more.

Wet-Up Soca® Aerobics was born from these experiences. One day, while walking and running in my neighborhood, I wanted to stop, but the beats of Soca kept me going—kept me moving. I wanted others who struggle with motivation to exercise to experience this same joy and drive. That's when I had the idea: I would offer aerobic classes using Soca music and dancing to inspire and energize. And here we are!
